Fall comes earlier in Alaska
In the 2 weeks from mid August to now things have changed around here. You can now go down to the spit in the middle of the day and find a place to park. The tourists are becoming fewer and so are the sunny days. On the last clear morning we had yesterday was a little bit of frost on the glass. It won't be long before the mountains across the bay get a dusting of snow.
Here is a radar shot from earlier today.
Looking forward to many more days of this.

Hey, Sean,
Scott from the Last Frontier Band here. Our pal Jeffrey T. Meyer sent me your email but man of few words that he is he didn't tell me how he responded to it. If he didn't, you can get links to music at http://optomystic.blogspot.com if you wish. All proceeds are currently earmarked for the Red Cross to aid Katrina victims, whether you purchase at iTunes or anywhere else, download or CD. I actually prefer folks to get the downloads 'cause then I don't have to print out the CD cover and package as many physical CDs! I love your blog and it makes me ache for Alaska, though I do love my Nashville home and my own little family, the four of us. Anyway, cheers to you and yours and stay safe!
